The best way to experience Netflix is not to use your web browser but rather to let a third-party interface drive your Netflix experience.
With any of the following solutions, you get access to your Netflix queue and to searching Netflix, just as you could from the web site, but with an easily-navigable menu system that can be handled from your couch via Rowmote.
You have several choices:
1. Install the Understudy plugin for Front Row (Apple's media management interface), then access Netflix via Front Row. Front Row was included in Mac OS X 10.4 through 10.7; if you are using Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, you'll need to install Front Row first.
2. Install Plex, and use its Netflix 'Video Plug-in'.
3. Install XBMC, and use its Netflix 'Video Plug-in'.
Understudy is the simplest solution with the shortest learning curve; Plex and XBMC are full media center solutions, with their own strengths and weaknesses.
Personally, I have both Plex and Understudy installed, because although I love Plex's interface and use it in general, I find that some videos don't play back perfectly in Plex but do play perfectly via Front Row (which uses Quicktime)... so I'll switch to Front Row when needed. At that point, having Understudy installed means I'm still just a step away from Netflix if the mood strikes.
